EVENT PRODUCTION (Production, marketing, talent buying)
For the past twelve years, I’ve curated an extensive array of events in both Austin and San Francisco, ranging from live music and electronic dance experiences to marketing activations, film pop-ups, and comedy shows. My clients have included prominent names such as Netflix, Facebook, South by Southwest, Alamo Drafthouse, Red Bull, Transmission Events, Margin Walker, and Vitamin Water while working with internationally recognized artists.

CONTRAST FILM FESTIVAL (co-creator, performance curation, art direction)
Contrast Film Festival celebrates subversive, boundary pushing film and performance with a yearly multimedia festival in Austin, TX.   With my creative partner, I programmed films and performances plus handled art direction for festival’s brand identity.  Our motivation was to create environments for moving image and performance to co-exist in order to engage audiences that often don’t feel included by the typical film festival experience.

DOUBLE SCORPIO (copy writing, event production, video direction)
I was involved in Double Scorpio’s nascent years helping develop their brand voice, did product copy writing, directed their first video commercials, and co-produced many of their live events.  My drive was to blend dance music culture, queer history, and the brand’s unique sense of humor into a cohesive whole.

QUEENS WITHOUT MIRRORS (Director, co-writer, art director)
A short film starring RuPaul’s Drag winner Trixie Mattel. The short film acted as an interlude during her nationally touring comedy show “Trixie Mattle: Ages 3+”. The film was a satire of classic infomericals and a skewering of Drag Race’s effect on queer culture.

ASHwell SEXUAL HEALTH + WELLNESS (art direction, copy writing, video production, event production)
ASHwell is an HIV and Hep C prevention and treatment program that has been in Austin for 35 years.  I developed their first ever marketing department that has become known for its out of the box approach and humorous advertising.  The ongoing challenge has been keeping discussions around HIV relevant when so many people feel fatigued thinking about the issue.  My solution has been to mix sex positivity, off beat humor, and honest information about the topic which has kept the intended audience engaged.  ASHwell is seen as an industry standard and is well loved in the Austin community.
